How to do it

Set up

  1. Load the sled, take a firm handle position, and set your body at a forward angle.

Do the rep

  1. Drive through the floor and move the sled with short steps.
  2. Keep pushing until you reach the planned distance or time.

What counts as a rep

The effort counts when the sled crosses the planned distance marker or the planned time ends.

An effort counts when the front of the sled crosses the planned distance marker or the planned duration ends under control.

Breathing

Take short, steady breaths that match your steps.

Cues

  • Push through the handles
  • Use short steps
  • Keep moving steadily

Common mistakes

  • Steps become too long

What you seeThe lead foot lands far ahead and forward drive slows.

FixUse shorter steps that keep pressure into the ground.

Short steps keep force directed backward into the floor.

  • Sled veers sideways

What you seeThe sled drifts away from the planned lane.

FixReduce the load and apply even pressure through both arms.

A straight sled path keeps the loaded effort controlled.

Stop the set if

  • Stop if you feel sharp pain.
  • Stop if the sled changes direction or your feet cannot keep stable contact.
  • End the set when you cannot meet the stated range under control.
