How to do it
Set up
- Adjust the seat so you can pedal without reaching or locking the knees.
Do the rep
- Push and pull the handles while pedaling in a steady rhythm.
- Keep the trunk controlled as the arms and legs share the work.
What counts as a rep
The effort counts when the display reaches the planned time, distance, or calories while both feet stay on the pedals.
An effort counts when the display reaches the planned duration, distance, or calories while both feet remain on the pedals.
Breathing
Breathe in a steady rhythm that matches your pace.
Cues
- Pedal smoothly
- Push and pull the handles
- Keep shoulders relaxed
Common mistakes
Rocking across the seat
What you seeThe hips shift from side to side with each pedal stroke.
FixReduce the pace and keep the pelvis centered on the seat.
A centered seat position keeps force moving into the pedals instead of across the saddle.
Uneven arm and leg drive
What you seeThe handles surge while pedal speed drops, or the reverse occurs.
FixLower the pace and keep pressure through the handles and pedals together.
Even arm and leg pressure keeps the fan drive smooth and the effort repeatable.
Stop the set if
- Stop if you feel sharp pain.
- Stop if a foot slips from a pedal or you cannot control the handles.
- End the set when you cannot meet the stated range under control.
