How to do it

Set up

  1. Grip a secure pull-up bar with both hands and hang with the feet clear of the floor.
  2. Keep the shoulders controlled and start without swinging.

Do the rep

  1. Raise both straight legs until they are horizontal.
  2. Hold the legs together and keep the trunk still.
  3. Lower the legs slowly before releasing the bar.

What counts as a rep

Count only time held with both knees straight, the legs horizontal and the body still in a secure hang.

  • Do not swing.

  • Swinging

What you seeThe torso rocks under the bar.

FixStart from a still hang and lift more slowly.

A still body gives a repeatable hold.

Stop the set if

  • Stop before the grip fails.
  • End the hold when the legs drop below horizontal.
